It is not the first Champions League meeting between the two clubs. In 2013-2014, Rafa Benitez's Napoli beat Arsenal 2-0 at the old San Paolo, with goals from Higuain and Callejon. Those three points were not enough: Napoli finished the group on 12 points, level with Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal, and dropped into the Europa League on goal difference.
Napoli go into the game off the back of a 3-2 win at San Siro against Inter. It marks Allegri's European debut in charge, the first since Antonio Conte's departure, against a heavyweight opponent.
