Napoli's line-up for Inter-Napoli is out, with kick-off at 18:00 CET at the Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday 5 September, matchday three after the home defeat to Como.

Allegri picks Meret in goal, with Rrahmani, Marín and Di Lorenzo in front of him and Spinazzola on the left. Lobotka, Anguissa and Vergara start in midfield, with Höjlund up front alongside Politano and Alisson Santos.

The eye-catching decision is Vergara starting ahead of De Bruyne, who begins on the bench along with Gilmour, Neres, Lucca and Lang. In defence, Marín is preferred to Beukema, who also starts among the substitutes with Olivera, Badiashile, Favasuli, Milinkovic-Savic and Contini.

McTominay and Giovane are not even in the squad. The midfielder is out after surgery in recent days for a heart arrhythmia, while the forward is missing with a groin hernia. Marianucci is also absent through injury.

Napoli arrive in Milan with three points from two games and the home defeat to Como still fresh, facing an Inter side third in the table on six points. Allegri's selection has to be read against that backdrop, with supporters demanding an immediate response.
