Neres in contention to start for Napoli against Inter
Napoli trained at Castel Volturno, the training ground, on the morning of the trip to face Inter, with head coach Massimiliano Allegri short of options in central midfield.

Napoli held a morning session at Castel Volturno ahead of Saturday's away game against Serie A champions Inter, coached by Cristian Chivu. The squad worked through a warm-up and technical-tactical drills, the club said.
In its pre-match report, the club singled out David Neres in good form: the Brazilian is in contention for a starting shirt in the 18:00 CET (17:00 UK, 12:00 ET) kick-off at the Meazza. Allegri is also weighing his inclusion because of midfield shortages — Scott McTominay must have surgery in England for a benign cardiac arrhythmia found in recent days.

Napoli go into the game off the back of a home defeat to Como and an away win at Genoa, 10th in Serie A with 3 points from two matches. At San Siro they face one of the sides level at the top on 6 points.
