Lautaro avoids second yellow after elbow on Marín
Referee Simone Sozza waved play on despite the Argentine already being booked, in an incident that arrived as Napoli led at San Siro.

In the second half at San Siro, with Napoli ahead, Lautaro Martínez — already booked for protests — caught Rafa Marín with an elbow to the stomach. The Spaniard went down and the medical staff came on to treat him. Referee Simone Sozza did not show a second yellow card, and Lautaro stayed on the pitch.
The incident came as Inter pushed to level the game, the same pattern that would produce the eventual 3-2, with Thuram and a Lautaro double overturning goals from Politano and Höjlund. Under the protocol, VAR cannot intervene when a foul is judged a second-yellow offence rather than violent conduct — a grey area in the rules that many Napoli supporters called a scandal on social media.
