Napoli loan out striker Dinis Rodrigues to Eldense

The Portuguese forward, signed from Sion, joins the Spanish second division on loan until 30 June 2027.

Napoli have loaned out Portuguese striker Dinis Rodrigues, who joined the club from Sion. The 21-year-old will play in Spain's second division with CD Eldense, who confirmed the deal until 30 June 2027 in a statement on their website.

Eldense describe him as a left-footed centre-forward with a powerful physique, able to attack space with his pace and hold the ball up well with his back to goal. He came through Braga's youth academy, had his first taste of senior football at Sion and Penafiel, and represented Portugal at every youth level from Under-15 to Under-20.

The move comes four days after the summer transfer window closed on Tuesday at 20:00, when Napoli's only real incoming attempt — a loan with an option to buy for Federico Gatti — fell through after Juventus said no. Rodrigues was not among the forwards in head coach Allegri's plans, a list running from Neres to Lucca via Højlund, Politano, Giovane, Alisson Santos and Lang, so his departure frees up a squad slot already outside this season's plans.
