Alvino: McTominay will not sign new Napoli deal
The Otto Channel journalist is adamant on the Scot's future, sidelined after heart surgery. He also gave his top four for the season so far.

Scott McTominay will not renew his Napoli contract, according to journalist Carlo Alvino. Asked about the midfielder's future on Otto Channel, Alvino said: "Will the Scot renew with Napoli? Absolutely not."
McTominay had cardiac ablation surgery at the Spire Manchester Hospital on Wednesday 9 September morning, ruling him out of that evening's game against Arsenal. He needs around two weeks of rest before returning to training. On a new deal, the former Manchester United midfielder is said to be asking for €7-8m, in talks that have dragged on for some time with no meetings scheduled.

Alvino also gave his top four for Serie A: "Como, Inter, Roma, Napoli", naming Lazio as the league's surprise team. It is a forecast that sits oddly with the current table, where Napoli are twelfth on 3 points after three rounds, with Roma, Inter and Lazio sharing the lead on 9.
