Napoli's papers dissect referee errors, Allegri's changes and Alisson row

Refereeing decisions dominate the back pages after Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Inter. Tuttosport's front page is blunt: "Lautaro Martinez should have been sent off twice," pointing to two incidents involving the Inter forward, including a late collision with Rafa Marín.

On team selection, Sky Sport reports that Allegri made three changes from expectations and found his replacement for the injured McTominay in midfield. Sky journalist Ugolini added that Vergara started ahead of De Bruyne because the Belgian was "not yet fit".

The refereeing review explains last night's anger, but it doesn't explain how a team 2-0 up away at Inter lost it in 34 minutes: that remains a problem on the pitch, not just with the officials. Allegri's words on Alisson Santos, dropped into the aftermath of a heavy defeat, carry more weight than they might seem to: criticising one player in public risks pinning a collective problem on an individual, starting with a bench that has no real like-for-like replacement for McTominay. The comparison with Como that Alisson used to argue Napoli played better is no comfort to anyone, with the table showing 12th place and three points from three games.
