Napoli submit 23-man Champions League squad
The list, confirmed three days after the transfer window closed, is the first assembled by head coach Massimiliano Allegri since Antonio Conte's departure at the end of last season.

Napoli have submitted their 23-man squad for the 2026/27 Champions League league phase, confirmed with the transfer window already shut — the summer session closed at 20:00 on Tuesday 1 September.
The list: Alex Meret (1), Costantino Favasuli (2), Benoît Badiashile (5), Billy Gilmour (6), David Neres (7), Scott McTominay (8), Kevin De Bruyne (11), Amir Rrahmani (13), Nikita Contini (14), Rafa Marín (16), Mathías Olivera (17), Rasmus Højlund (19), Lorenzo Lucca (20), Matteo Politano (21), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (22), Antonio Vergara (26), Alisson (27), Sam Beukema (31), Vanja Milinković-Savić (32), Leonardo Spinazzola (37), Stanislav Lobotka (68), Noa Lang (70) and Frank Zambo Anguissa (99). Captain Di Lorenzo and vice-captain Politano both make the cut.

It is Napoli's first league-phase squad since the worst European campaign in the club's recent history: 30th in last season's single league phase, with one win, two draws and five defeats — including a 6-2 loss to PSV, the heaviest defeat Napoli have ever taken in European competition. Whether this squad, with Allegri in for Conte, is enough to avoid another early exit will depend on the new group's fixture list.
