Napoli's Primavera open season at Avellino under Nocerino
Antonio Nocerino takes charge for the first time as the Under-19s begin life in Primavera 2 after relegation from the top flight, starting with a trip to a ground Avellino share with their first team.
Napoli's Primavera begin a new era on the road. On Saturday 5 September at 15:00 CET (14:00 UK), Antonio Nocerino's Under-19 side visit Avellino at the Stadio Partenio-Adriano Lombardi for the opening round of Primavera 2, Group B.
It is a tough starting point for a new cycle. Napoli come into the season after relegation from Primavera 1, and the club have turned to Nocerino to rebuild identity and competitiveness in a shorter but no easier division.

The first test is not a gentle one. Avellino finished in the upper half of their group last season, and play at home in a stadium the home side share with their first team — a setting built to pressure visitors, Napoli's youngsters included.
Nocerino has named a 21-man squad for the trip to Campania. The group mixes players already known to the academy with several young prospects the coach is preparing to introduce.
Squad: Amendola, Anic, Barido, Branchizio, Chiaiese, Chiummariello, De Stefano, Esposito, Favicchio, Lepre, Liccardo, Lieto, Mane, Melnyk, Merone, Natale, Pereyra, Riccio, Rovetini, Spinelli, Zappalà.
From Saturday, it will start to become clear how much of Nocerino's work the squad has absorbed: a different group, an opponent that sat in the top positions last season, and a squad still to be tested on the pitch.
